Sidekick is the AI assistant built into Shopify. It is included with Shopify plans, which makes it the natural first step for a retailer that already sells through Shopify⁠1SidekickShopify.

Best for: Retailers who sell mainly through Shopify and want an AI assistant that works directly on their store data at no extra cost.

Not the right fit for: Retailers whose stock, suppliers and customer mail live mostly outside Shopify.

What Sidekick does

Sidekick has direct access to a store's Shopify data and takes actions in the admin. Staff see only what their admin permissions allow. Shopify's example requests include stock alerts, weekly performance summaries, discounts and email campaigns, and Sidekick can also help with storefront tests, product images and checkout customisation.
